Check your pool gate. Do your part to protect children. Drowning is preventable.
Children or toddlers who drown in pools most commonly gain access to the pool area through a faulty gate or fence—an entirely preventable tragedy.
Our pool safety page and annual National Check Your Pool Gate Month campaign have been created to
assist and educate pool owners to create and maintain a safe pool zone.

A few minutes each month is all it takes for pool owners to check that their pool fences, gates, latches, and hinges are in good working order. It’s a simple routine that when done regularly could help save the life of a child.
D&D Technologies is committed to preventing toddler drownings worldwide and we work closely with water safety organisations globally. D&D has been awarded the Kidsafe Product of The Year award in the year 2000 for the MagnaLatch® as well as the recipient of three Australian Design Awards, a Good Design Award, and two Australian Design Marks for its range of gate latches, locks, and hinges.
We’re proud to have a long and close association with Laurie Lawrence, a former Australian Olympic Swimming Coach, and champion of the drowning awareness program, Kids Alive as well as being a sponsor of the NDPA in the United States.
Drowning prevention is every pool owner’s responsibility. So, let’s work together during National Check-Your-Pool-Gate Month
to make sure our backyards are safer for little ones!
